Virtual Reality

The process of gaining information, remembering it, and then applying the knowledge relies heavily on the nature of information exchange. Recruiting different senses enriches the experience of delivering information.

Virtual reality (VR) transports the user to a surreal immersive world and allows for communication that makes a definite impact. We have used VR to help healthcare providers experience the patient’s point of view. Our VR applications have helped facilitate education and empathy!

We made VR applications that were designed to help physicians understand the need to switch treatment for heart failure and identify the right patients. We have used VR to inject fun into the process of bringing the knowledge gained from clinical research to clinical practice. While accurate scientific data forms the core component that physicians evaluate before adopting any new treatment modality, conveying the data border on being transactional. VR makes this engagement virtually transcendental.
