The technology underlying mixed reality facilitates seamless and realistic integration of virtual elements into the real world while also allowing for unfettered freedom in interacting with it. We used these capabilities in Microsoft’s HoloLens- 1 & 2 to make the world’s first tool for learning facial anatomy. With this tool, users can perform a dissection and learn from dissected models that show photoreal tissue – not an illustration or model rendered by an artist – literally anywhere.
Augmented reality is the future of customer engagement in the pharma industry, at MedTrix, we
have been using AR to reimagine e-Detailing, product launches, and patient interactions in
Our AR applications have been used to launch brands at symposiums, help patients with chronic conditions understand their medications better, or explain the mechanism of action of a drug while detailing to physicians. We have expanded the possibilities of Augmented Reality by making it compatible with web browsers for the first time in the pharma world, hence avoiding the need to download applications on to a device.
We used VR to help healthcare practitioners and caregivers truly understand what a patient experiences by immersing them in patients’ worlds. We created VR experiences that guided physicians treating heart failure and eye disorders like Diabetic Macular Edema, to understand patient profiles and make treatment decisions related to newly launched medications.
